(Switch) gearing
Malfunction: gearbox no longer switches between Lo and Hi gear
On board a boat, research has been done into not being able to switch from Lo to Hi gear. In the absence of protection devices and remote activation, such tooth damage can occur in the event of a difference in rotation. See pictures.
